Starting with a true 1970 Mach 1 428 Cobra Jet body this mustang was treated to a rotisserie restoration in 1999 and remains beautiful to this date. This stunning Mach 1 is a monster of a car that draws crowds and has the muscle to match.
The 428ci engine has undergone a complete refurbish and upgrade including machining for improved oil flow, all new bearings, seals, gaskets, Edelbrock Performer 76cc aluminum heads, Performer aluminum intake manifold, Performer 750cfm carburetor, .560 lift Comp Cam and HD rocker arm assemblies, ARP head bolts, MSD distributer and ignition, 7qt oil pan with extended pick up, Hooker ceramic coated headers connected to exhaust cut outs and 2.25 inch duel chrome tipped exhaust.
Drive train is upgraded with a Tremec TR3550 TKO 5 speed manual overdrive transmission rated to 425 ft lbs, new driveshaft and 3.89:1 ratio 9 inch posi-lock rear axle and rides on black over chrome steel wheels with pony center caps wrapped in BFG Radial T/A 235/60-15 front and 245/60-15 rear tires.
The frame is clean and straight with no rust. Undercarriage sports front and rear anti-sway bars, traction control bars with chassis stiffeners and shock tower upgrades from Pro Motorsports Engineering, KYB shock, 4 wheel disc brakes with stainless steel lines and a new fuel tank with stainless steel lines.
Then engine compartment is painted black and is clean, straight and solid. With no evidence of accident damage.
The body is straight with zero dents or waves in the panels. The car was painted when restored and is in great shape with minor blemishes as pointed out in the photos. The chrome trim is straight and presents nicely.
The trunk compartment is very solid, clean and completely rust free.
The interior is upholstered with Vermillion vinyl seats and Vermillion door panels. The headliner is snug and tight with no tears. Has an upgraded stereo tape player in the original mustang bezel. Dash appears stock, all gauges are working and is adorned with a Scott Drake leather steering wheel.
